Tom and Jocelyn Wilkinson have two farms - Willow Creek and Jarrahvale.
They are 4kms apart. We live at Willow Creek but on both properties
we grow strawberries, raspberries, avocados and run beef cattle.
We bought Willow Creek in 1978 and at that stage it was partially
cleared and needed a lot of work done. Over the years we have improved
the pasture, planted windbreaks and set up about 15 acres for horticultural
production. Our house was built in 1980 - we built most of it ourselves!
We purchased Jarrahvale in 1998. It is a beautiful property running
up a north facing hill, with granite boulders on the higher ground
and magnificent views of the Stirling and Porongurup Ranges.
Two years ago we purchased antoher 270 acres next door to Willow
Creek on which to run beef cattle.
We have one holiday cottage at Willow
Creek. It is very comfortable and is set in its own peaceful
garden. The cottage sleeps 4 and visitors are welcome to walk anywhere
on our farm. Well behaved dogs are welcome too!
